When the store coolers call for cooling we turn on the pump in the well and circulate water through the water to water units to keep the items in the coolers cold or frozen. The pump transfers the heat from all the coolers, ice making machines and disperses it into the ground surrounding the well where it is stored and tapped for heating our station in the winter. We are simply (well, maybe not so simply) moving heat around rather than creating heat by consuming more fossil fuels to regulate temperatures.
